An untimely news post.

Heya TPK.

The day has (unfortunately) come to make this announcement, but it must be done. After many years of dedication, B0sh has decided to step down from his admin position. I know, this doesn't sound real. I thought it was a joke as well when he first told me. However, his reasons are justified; B0sh has been working hard in college to pursue both his computer science and percussion majors. Now, he wants to dedicate the majority of his time towards his passion for music. In order to make that possible, B0sh has decided to step down, thus not having to spend countless hours fixing bugs and creating new content.

The issue with this is that B0sh has done pretty much all of the programming by himself for many months now. Thankfully, I was informed about this decision a while ago (around November 2016) and have taken action to learn how to program ever since. I'm certainly not an expert at this point, but I would like to think that i've picked up enough skills to maintain TPK at a decent level. B0sh has been of great assistance when I would get stuck, and now we are at a point where both of us are comfortable with my abilities. I kept the whole programming thing a secret to eliminate any ideas of B0sh possibly stepping down, and it seems to have done well.

With all of this said, there's no other way to bid him farewell from the staff team without some kind of celebration. For those of you that don't know, B0sh loves the concept of glitch Pokémon. I have made a labyrinth-style map with a special glitch Pokémon at the end to commemorate all of his hard work over the years. You can access this map by going to the event page. All of the existing maps will be using this new tileset for the day, so be sure to check out some of the other maps (Caelum Cavern looks really intimidating now!) On top of this, all of the Pokémon sprites have been modified for the day to fit the running theme. Lastly, there's even a new layout to match everything!

I'm glad to say that B0sh will still visit from time, so we can all look forward to that. In the meantime, i've got lots of plans in store for new features to add to the game and improve upon some of the existing ones. More info will be posted about this tomorrow, once the going-away party is over. Until then, grab your running shoes and get to the end of that map puzzle!
